About Dr Bridger
Dr Andrew Bridger MBBS, FRACS, American Board Otolaryngology
Dr Bridger is a graduate of Sydney University (1990) and undertook his early surgical training at the Royal North Shore and Prince Alfred Hospitals. After completing his Australian Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) Fellowship training in NSW in 1997 and a further Fellowship year of adult and pediatric Ear, Nose and Throat and Head and Neck Surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital Dr Bridger undertook further subspecialty training in facial plastic surgery at the Mt Sinai Hospital in Toronto under the guidance of Dr Kris Konrad, a world-renowned facial plastic surgeon. His special interest there was in the science and art of aesthetic and functional rhinoplastic surgery. He then completed a prestigious Garnett Passe Fellowship in Head and Neck cancer and reconstructive surgery under Professor Mark Urken at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. This was a highly sought after fellowship with a surgeon widely regarded as one of the best in the United States.
Dr Bridger in addition to his FRACS qualification has also passed the prestigious United States Board Examination in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and is an International Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He has lectured and published both nationally and internationally.
Dr Bridger has since 2000 been a Visiting Medical Officer in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick. He is a member of the head and neck cancer care team at that institution and regularly attends the head and neck multidisciplinary clinic.
Dr Bridger is a member of numerous societies dedicated to the maintenance of excellence in the Specialty.
